It’s great to get out and about on a bike in Shropshire. Discover hundreds of miles of National Cycle Network routes along quiet lanes, explore traffic-free trails along old railways and waterways, follow the cycle rides from historic towns and get muddy on mountain bike tracks in woods and forests. Use our search facility to find a route that suits you.
Shropshire can meet all your needs for fantastic cycling holidays. There are a number of cycling holiday companies that can organise everything for you or you can make your own arrangements using our numerous cycle hire facilities and cycle shops. We also have an expansive range of cycle friendly places to stay in fantastic locations.
All year round there are exciting events for you to participate in or watch, such as the Ellesmere Triathlon. Please send us details of any events you are organising.
Shrewsbury Bikefest 2008
The Shrewsbury BikeFest 2008 takes place on Saturday 7th June, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
Come along to all or part of the day for FREE and enjoy:
Children and adult cycle skills sessions
Decorate a bike
Pedalling picnic bike ride
Adult and children bike rides
Stalls and lots more fun activities
